"THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS PRIVATE SCREENING" SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT ENHANCE CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Eligibility: The "The Men Who Stare At Goats Screening Sweepstakes" ("Sweepstakes") is open and offered only to legal residents of the Continental United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age and older at the time of entry. Void in Alaska, Hawaii and where prohibited by law. Employees and directors of Big Honcho Media, LLC ("Administrator"), Overture Films ("Sponsor"), the participating websites specified below, their respective subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, or production agencies, web masters and web suppliers (and their respective IRS dependants, immediate family members and individuals residing in their same household) are not eligible to participate. All applicable federal, state and local laws apply. By participating, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
2. To Enter: To enter, during the Entry Period (defined below) visit http://www.artistdirect.com/ and complete and submit the official Web page entry form. If not directed immediately to the form, the entry form will pop up once "The Men Who Stare at Goats" link or banner on the participating website is clicked. By filling out and submitting this form, consumers are automatically entered in to the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on October 22, 2009 and entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on October 29, 2009 ("Entry Period"). Administrator's computer will be the official clock for the Sweepstakes. Any other attempt at e-mail or Internet entry is void.
Limit one (1) entry per person for this Sweepstakes. Participants may not enter with multiple email addresses, nor may participants use any other means to enter multiple times, and any entrant who does so, or otherwise attempts to enter multiple times will be disqualified. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for illegible, lost, late, damaged, incomplete, misdirected, or stolen entries; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website or other connections, availability or accessibility; or for miscommunications, failed computer, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure; or jumbled, corrupted, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or for any other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, technical or network; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information or the failure to capture any such information.
3. Drawing: Winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about October 30, 2009, (unless time frame is changed by Sponsor), from among all eligible entries received by the participating web sites, by Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. One (1) Grand Prize winner (as detailed below) will be selected from among all eligible entries received for the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Grand Prize winner will be notified by email and/or phone and will be required to accept the prize within twenty-four (24) hours of attempted notification. Winner will be required to execute and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and (where legal) Publicity Release and a W-9 tax form. This paperwork will need to be received by Administrator within one (1) day of attempted notification. A prepaid overnight delivery air bill will be provided to facilitate the return of all required documents. Noncompliance within this time frame and these Official Rules will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. If an alternate winner is selected, this winner will be required to accept the prize within twenty-four (24) hours of attempted notification. Noncompliance within this time frame and these Official Rules will result in disqualification.
4. Prize: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a private screening of "The Men Who Stare at Goats" ("Screening") to be held at a theater in or near the winner's local market at a location, date and time determined by Sponsor. The winner may invite up to one hundred fifty (150) guests to the Screening. Winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes. Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize: $1,500.00. Actual retail value of prize may vary depending on location of the Grand Prize winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize, or any part thereof, with a prize of equal or greater value.
Total approximate retail value of all prizes to be awarded in this sweepstakes is $1500.
5. Conditions Of Participation: Participants agree that: (a) Sponsor, Administrator and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives and agents (collectively the "Released Parties") will have no liability whatsoever for and shall be held harmless by participants for any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of or inability to use any prize or from participation or inability to participate in this Sweepstakes, including any travel or Sweepstakes related activity, (b) Released Parties will have no liability whatsoever for failure to supply a prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any severe weather, hurricane, flood, fire, war, transportation interruption of any kind, or any other cause beyond their control, (c) except where legally prohibited, winner grants (and agrees to confirm that grant in writing) permission for the Released Parties and those acting under their authority to use his/her name, photograph, voice, statements and/or likeness, for advertising, trade and/or publicity purposes without additional compensation in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, including, without limitation, on the World Wide Web, without notice, review or approval, (d) if any prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, or if winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected at Sponsor's discretion, (e) noncompliance with any of the foregoing may result in disqualification and awarding of prize to an alternate winner as determined in the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Federal, state and local taxes and all other expenses not specified herein are winner's sole responsibility.
6. Limitations on Liability: Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes or any website, as solely determined by the Sponsor, will be disqualified, and Sponsor reserves the right to terminate such entrant's eligibility. Should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor's or Administrator's sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the sweepstakes, and select winner from entries received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Released Parties are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes, and assumes no responsibility for any error, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation, or transmission, communications line failure, technical failure, theft or destruction, or unauthorized use of any technology used in connection with this sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute regarding prize claims or entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized account subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. Any use of micro, automatic, programmed, robotic, or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods, and entrants using such methods will be disqualified.

Requests received after December 31, 2009 will not be honored. This Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the state of California in the United States of America and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.
