“High School Flashback Collection” DVD Sweepstakes
Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT ENHANCE CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open and offered only to legal U.S. residents, 18 years of age and older as of September 1, 2008. Employees and directors of Big Honcho Media, LLC, (“Sponsor”) Universal Studios Home Entertainment, the participating websites, their respective subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, or production agencies, web masters and web suppliers (and their respective IRS dependants, immediate family members and individuals residing in their same household) are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited. By participating, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
2. To Enter: To enter, visit http://www.aceshowbiz.com to complete and submit the official Web page entry form. This entry form will pop up once the “High School Flashback Collection” feature on the participating websites is clicked. By filling out this form and submitting, consumers are automatically entered into the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (EST) on September 1, 2008. Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. PST on September 29, 2008. Sponsor's computer will be the official clock for the Sweepstakes. Any other attempt at e-mail or Internet entry is void. Any entry information collected from the Contest shall be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by entrants at the time of entry and with Big Honcho Media’s On-line Privacy Policy, which can be found at: http://www.bighonchomedia.com/privacy. All entries become property of Sponsor.
Limit one (1) entry per person. Participants may not enter with multiple email addresses, nor may participants use any other means to enter multiple times, and any entrant who does so, or otherwise attempts to enter multiple times will be disqualified. Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are responsible for illegible, lost, late, damaged, incomplete, misdirected, or stolen entries; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website or other connections, availability or accessibility; or for miscommunications, failed computer, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure; or jumbled, corrupted, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or for any other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, technical or network; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information or the failure to capture any such information.
3. Drawing: Winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about October 15, 2008, unless time frame is changed by Sponsor, from among all eligible entries received by the participating web sites, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
4. Prizes:
Grand Prize - One (1) Prize per participating website consisting of one (1) iPod 8GB Touch and one (1) copy of The Breakfast Club: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on CD. Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize: $315.00. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize, or any part thereof, with a prize of equal or greater value.
Runner Up Prize – Five (5) Prizes per participating website each consisting of one (1) copy of “The High School Flashback Collection” on DVD. Approximate Retail Value of each Runner Up Prize is: $39.98. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize, or any part thereof, with a prize of equal or greater value.
5. Conditions Of Participation: Participants agree (a) that Sponsor, Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Big Honcho Media, LLC and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively "Released Parties") will have no liability whatsoever for and shall be held harmless by participants for any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this Sweepstakes, including any travel or Sweepstakes related activity and (b) except where legally prohibited, winner grants (and agrees to confirm that grant in writing) permission for the Released Parties and those acting under their authority to use his/her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising, trade and/or publicity purposes without additional compensation in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, including, without limitation, on the World Wide Web, without notice, review or approval. If any prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, or if winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Noncompliance with any of the foregoing may result in disqualification and awarding of prize to an alternate winner. Federal, state and local taxes and all other expenses not specified herein are winner's sole responsibility.
6. Limitations on Liability: Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes or website, as solely determined by the Sponsor, will be disqualified, and Sponsor reserves the right to terminate such entrant's eligibility. Should any portion of the Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor's sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the sweepstakes, and select winner from entries received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes, and assumes no responsibility for any error, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation, or transmission, communications line failure, technical failure, theft or destruction, or unauthorized use of any technology used in connection with this sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute regarding prize claims or entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses. Any use of micro, automatic, programmed, robotic, or like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods, and entrants using such methods will be disqualified.
7. General Information: The registration information you provide will be used to administer this Sweepstakes. In accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy, we also use this information to provide you with a more personalized experience, including future recommendations and promotions that may be of special interest to you. 8. Official Rules and Winners List: For an additional copy of these Rules or the names of the Winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Big Honcho Media, Attn: The High School Flashback Collection DVD Sweepstakes, 111 Broadway, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10006. Requests received after December 31, 2008 will not be honored. This Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the state of New York in the United States of America and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.
